Victorian Beaded Coin Purse Chatelaine Clip and Chain Ornate Framework

Description:  An elaborate Victorian beaded coin purse from the late 19th century. The double-sided steel beads are worked into a mustard-gold/deep yellow material with the original chatelane ornamental clip and chain. Even with period aging and wear, this piece remains a striking survivor of the 19th-century craftsmanship and deserves a spot preserved in a special place.

Condition: Used. All original with no repairs. Extremely fragile condition. Missing some steel beads and/or other decoration. Since the framework was crafted and held to the body of the purse with only heavy thread, tears are present to both sides with missing threads that is detaching from framework. Age darkening on yellow. Clasp works properly. Original lining still intact although worn and/or deteriorating with separation from edges.
